It's Sunday afternoon and you have just had the first feeling of dread thinking about Monday morning coming around. You know that you are unhappy and that you need to change jobs but you have no idea what you're on planet earth to do and in a desperate attempt to figure out your purpose you read your horoscope in the Sunday papers and now you're feeling even more confused!!
Of course sometimes life is bleak and it isn't just the Sunday feeling it's the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday feeling - If this is the case give me a call and lets get started because you deserve so much more from life.
Feeling lost, demotivated and disillusioned with your life is a difficult feeling especially when you perceive the people around you living out their dreams and achieving everything they want from life. Being unhappy at work can lead to depression and a loss of confidence which can negatively impact your relationships and also your health. There is no doubt that you have an abundance of skills and qualities that can set you on the path to happiness and fulfilment but maybe you need a bit of help identifying them.
Personally I feel that we all know what we are here to do, additionally, I believe that we all know deep down what it is that we want to do with our lives. So LET'S GET EXCITED...I mean REALLY EXCITED!!!
Lets figure out what it is that you want and then make it happen. You've heard it before:
'The only thing that is stopping you living the life that you want to live is YOU'.

Counselling and Psychotherapy isn't for everyone and that is why I offer life coaching sessions too as they are often more suited to the people that feel counselling is just nodding pleasantly. People like to feel they are making progress and life coaching can be a good way of achieving this which in many ways is different to Counselling as progress is looked at in a different way.
Life coaching is often far more directive and straight talking and this can suit certain people that want to figure out why they do the things they do and why they are not living the life that they want to live. There is a great deal more theory attached to counselling and psychotherapy than coaching and often although the two professions are seen as different (which they are) both roles are focussed on bringing about change and empowering someone to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
I'm not saying counselling is coaching because it isn't but you can't overlook the fact that our thoughts, feelings and experiences underpin where we are at any given time. Ultimately you have to be able to trust and work alongside the person sitting opposite you as without trust it's difficult to achieve what we are looking for....Growth.
